Find Peace & Renewal Here

Visit Miramar for the day to soak in some of the holy, healing energy here, or stay for a week and find yourself powerfully renewed. Religious and lay spiritual directors are available, and, while Miramar is a Catholic retreat center, Catholicism is in no way a prerequisite for joining us.

In celebration of Advent, Miramar will share the spiritual wisdom of Dianne Bergant via a four-part ZOOM series!

ADVENT – A CALL TO SURRENDER explores the seasonal readings that call us to surrender to a present reality.  Learning to surrender prepares us for whatever lies ahead.

Sister Dianne, CSA, is a Professor Emerita of Biblical Studies at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. She served as president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America in 2000-01 and has been a member of the Chicago Catholic/Jewish Scholars Dialogue for more than 25 years. Sr. Dianne is presently working in the areas of biblical interpretation and biblical theology, particularly issues of peace, ecology, and feminism.

The cost of the entire series is $80, with the option of participating from 10-11 am or 7-8 pm on each Wednesday in Advent. Please clink the link ADVENT SERIES 10am or ADVENT SERIES 7pm to register.

Our Purpose

Today more than 6,000 Divine Word Missionaries in more than 80 countries bring humanitarian services and the Word of God to those in need. In a culturally, socially and religiously divided world Divine Word Missionaries are dedicated to encouraging all people to open their hearts. We, at Miramar Retreat Center, mirror the Society’s service to all people in all places, valuing life and diversity.
