Miramar Retreat Center

Up from the bay the gentle wind murmurs its peaceful song…

COVID-19 Update

We are currently not accepting overnight guests. Our Morning Mass has resumed in the outdoor chapel Mon-Fri at 7:30am.
Please check back in early August for updated information.
In the meantime, please take a look at our calendar and consider visiting Miramar soon!

Find Peace & Renewal Here

Visit Miramar for the day to soak in some of the holy, healing energy here, or stay for a week and find yourself powerfully renewed. Religious and lay spiritual directors are available, and, while Miramar is a Catholic retreat center, Catholicism is in no way a prerequisite for joining us.

Welcome to Miramar Retreat Center!

The intervention of COVID-19 in our lives these past weeks has been different for all of us, different and difficult. As we continue to rise to the challenge, we can approach it with a sense of hope knowing that this, too, shall pass, and, as we transition to a “new normal”, we will all have the opportunity to redirect our lives toward what we have learned is most important to us.

I urge you to use this opportunity to think about your life values and what direction you want to take next in your own life. The time is coming when, once again, we will be able to shake hands, embrace one another, fearlessly enjoying the fresh air unmasked, fearless in our need for community. For we do all need some form of community, and rest assured Miramar will remain open to welcoming you into ours.

Mark Schramm SVD

Yes, we have postponed our Spring 2020 offerings, but thanks to today’s social media communications and the good old U.S. Mail, we will let you know as soon as Miramar returns to full speed ahead in contributing to your personal new normal!

Join us for Morning Mass

Monday through Friday at 7:30am in the Chapel. Rosary is at 8:15am Friday immediately following Mass. Open to the public. Mass Intentions are available upon request. Please contact us for more information or to schedule a Mass.

Our Purpose

Today more than 6,000 Divine Word Missionaries in more than 80 countries bring humanitarian services and the Word of God to those in need. In a culturally, socially and religiously divided world Divine Word Missionaries are dedicated to encouraging all people to open their hearts. We, at Miramar Retreat Center, mirror the Society’s service to all people in all places, valuing life and diversity.
